On 1 September 2026, the MV Longpeace (flying the Dutch flag) was successfully delivered as the third vessel in the PMAX ECO TRADER series. Following her launch and christening earlier this year, the vessel has now entered operational service.
With a deadweight of 6,250 tonnes, Longpeace has been developed for efficient coastal and shortsea transport. The PMAX ECO TRADER design combines optimised fuel performance with advanced energy-efficient technologies, contributing to lower fuel consumption, reduced emissions and improved operational efficiency.
Longpeace is part of an eight-vessel PMAX ECO TRADER series, designed to meet the growing demand for sustainable and versatile shortsea shipping. The vessels are intended to provide flexible cargo capacity while complying with the latest environmental standards and supporting future developments in low-emission maritime transport.
Built at the Dutch shipyard in Waterhuizen (SaS Waterhuizen), Longpeace further strengthens the modern Dutch-flagged fleet. The delivery of the vessel highlights the continued investment in efficient and environmentally responsible tonnage for European shortsea operations.
