NL Flag wants to ensure that everyone in the Netherlands can use our online services easily, regardless of any permanent or temporary disabilities. For this reason we continuously strive to improve the digital accessibility of this website.
The Provisional Governmental Digital Accessibility Act (Tijdelijk Besluit Digitale Toegankelijkheid Overheid) states that governmental websites must meet accessibility requirements EN 301 549/WCAG 2.1. Governments must account for this in a published accessibility statement.
The statement is valid for nlflag.nl and was drafted on 13-02-2024.

How we improve this website’s accessibility
The Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management continues to improve digital accessibility by:
- Accessibility from the start. For new websites, we focus on accessibility at the very start and in every step, ranging from design and construction to content.
- Examining the state of accessibility. Experts examine ds(elements of) the website for accessibility. We resolve any bottlenecks wherever they may arise.
- Knowledgeable employees. We facilitate campaigns for our employees that raise awareness about the importance of Digital Accessibility and what it entails. We make training and e-learning available to various employees.
