ENFORCER strengthens the Netherlands Coastguard fleet
Mid September Multraship, handed over the new patrol vessel ENFORCER to the Netherlands Coastguard. The 53-metre-long vessel (flying the Dutch flag) will be deployed to safeguard the continuity of coastguard activities in the North Sea, providing additional support until the new generation of coastguard vessels goes into service.

Delivery of MV Longpeace
On 1 September 2026, the MV Longpeace (flying the Dutch flag) was successfully delivered as the third vessel in the PMAX ECO TRADER series. Following her launch and christening earlier this year, the vessel has now entered operational service.

In July the Paris MoU Committee published the most recent performance lists for flag States and Recognized Organizations. The Dutch flag holds the ninth position on the global prestigious 'White List'.

New trailing suction hopper dredger ‘Magdalena’ christened in Vietnam
In August, Baggerbedrijf de Boer/Dutch Dredging’s new trailing suction hopper dredger ‘Magdalena’ was christened in Vietnam. The ceremony took place at Nam Trieu Shipyard in Hai Phong, where the 80-metre vessel (flying the Dutch flag) is being built under the auspices of Royal IHC.

Delivery of MV Longpride
On 16 June 2026, the MV Longpride (flying the Dutch flag) was successfully delivered as the second vessel in the PMAX ECO TRADER series. The vessel is part of a new generation of coastal cargo ships designed with a strong emphasis on fuel efficiency, operational performance and reduced environmental impact.

Launch of Thun Response
On 30 May, the product tanker Thun Response (flying the Dutch flag) was successfully launched at the Ferus Smit shipyard in Leer. The vessel will join the fleet of Erik Thun AB / Thun Tankers and is the fifth ship in a series of eight vessels built according to the new R-Class design.

Acta Gemini Delivered for Offshore Wind Operations
The Acta Gemini (flying the Dutch flag) has been delivered as the third vessel in a series of four Walk-to-Work (W2W) DP2 Construction Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs). Designed specifically for offshore wind construction and maintenance activities, the vessel combines operational capability with a focus on safety, efficiency, and onboard comfort.

Permanent recognition for Dutch contribution to D-Day after 82 years
On Sunday 7 June 2026, a commemorative plaque will be unveiled in Arromanches-les-Bains in honour of the Dutch contribution to D-Day. With this plaque, the efforts of the Dutch Merchant Navy, the Royal Netherlands Navy and the Naval Air Service will, for the first time, receive a permanent and visible recognition at one of the most historic locations of the allied invasion of 1944.
