Thun Resource is delivered
Thun Resource (flying the Dutch flag), the first in a series of eight product tankers in the "Resource Efficient Class," was delivered to Thun Tankers. As of 2nd February, she entered into a long-term employment with Nynas AB. Thun Resource was technically managed by MF Shipping Group and built by Scheepswerf Ferus Smit BV.

NIOZ christens new research vessel Wim Wolff
Mid February, the RV Wim Wolff (flying the Dutch flag) was christened in the harbor of the NIOZ on Texel. This Research Vessel (RV) replaces the RV Navicula, which served for four decades in coastal research.

Dutch flagged ship will contribute to most ecological wind farm yet
Following the announcement about their collaboration, Ecowende is pleased to confirm that Van Oord has been contracted for the construction of the offshore wind farm Hollandse Kust (west) lot VI. Ecowende, a joint venture of Shell and Eneco, is determined to contribute to a sustainable future for offshore wind that positively contributes to the North Sea’s ecology.

LNG suction dredgers - Vox Ariane, Vox Apolonia, and Vox Alexia stabilized Dutch coastline
Recently Van Oord successfully executed beach nourishment works along the coast of the Dutch province of Zeeland. This initiative resulted in stabilizing the coastline, providing protection to coastal towns and infrastructure for the years to come. The project utilized three new hopper dredgers (flying the Dutch flag) from Van Oord's fleet, including the recently christened Vox Alexia.

In november the 7.280dwt vessel, MV Vertom Anne Marit (flying the Dutch flag) was launched at Thecla Bodewes Shipyards in Kampen.

MV Vertom Joy christened
On December 8 the MV Vertom Joy, flying the Dutch flag, was christened by Joyce Schram. Thecla Bodewes Shipyards delivered the vessel in April 2023. The ship, originally designed as a DP-2 pipe supply vessel, underwent a transformation, converting it into a versatile MPV (Multipurpose Vessel) and general cargo ship.

Thun Resource launched
On November 10 Thun Resource (flying the Dutch flag) was launched in Leer, Germany. The vessel was named by Godmother Ulrika Hamill, a representative of Nynas AB. Upon delivery, the Thun Resource will be technically managed by MF Shipping Group and enter into a five-year time charter to Nynas AB.
