On 6 March 2026, the MV Longpearl (flying the Dutch flag) was successfully delivered, marking the first vessel in the PMAX ECO TRADER series. The vessel had previously been launched and christened on 19 November before entering service.
With a deadweight of approximately 6,000 tonnes, Longpearl is designed for efficient coastal operations. The vessel incorporates optimised fuel performance and a range of energy-efficient technologies, supporting reduced emissions and improved environmental performance.
The PMAX ECO TRADER series consists of eight vessels and represents a new generation of shortsea ships focused on operational efficiency and sustainability. The design reflects ongoing developments in environmentally responsible shipping and aims to meet current and future regulatory requirements.
