On 16 June 2026, the MV Longpride (flying the Dutch flag) was successfully delivered as the second vessel in the PMAX ECO TRADER series. The vessel is part of a new generation of coastal cargo ships designed with a strong emphasis on fuel efficiency, operational performance and reduced environmental impact.
With a deadweight of approximately 6,000 tonnes, Longpride incorporates advanced energy-efficient technologies and an optimised hull and propulsion concept aimed at lowering fuel consumption and emissions. The PMAX ECO TRADER design has been developed to provide an efficient and sustainable solution for European shortsea shipping.
The PMAX ECO TRADER series is being built at the Dutch shipyard in Waterhuizen and consists of a new generation of modern cargo vessels intended to support environmentally responsible coastal transport.
