Easymax 6 launched

03 March 2026

On Wednesday 25 February, the latest vessel in Wagenborg’s successful EasyMax series was launched at shipyard Royal Niestern Sander in Delfzijl. The EasyMax 6 (flying the Dutch flag) represents the next milestone in a programme that has become a symbol of Dutch maritime expertise, regional craftsmanship, and Wagenborg’s commitment to efficient and sustainable shipping.

For Wagenborg, the EasyMax 6 is more than another 14.000 DWT vessel. It is the proof of a long-standing partnership within the Northern Netherlands maritime cluster. The ship has been built largely by local subcontractors, reinforcing the company’s role as a major private employer and a driving force in the local economy. This cooperation reflects the reliability and trust that have defined Wagenborg for more than 125 years.

Over the coming months, the EasyMax 6 will be outfitted, commissioned and prepared for service by Niestern Sander while they also continue on the construction of the EasyMax 2.0 generation vessels.

Easymax 6 is expected to join the fleet this summer, further strengthening Wagenborg’s capacity to provide efficient, environmentally friendly and reliable shipping services. With the upcoming sixth EasyMax, Wagenborg continues to invest in sustainable growth, regional partnerships and the high-quality standards that customers and stakeholders can rely on.
