On 1 May, the 14,000 DWT EasyMax vessel Ariane (flying the Dutch flag), was delivered to Wagenborg. The vessel is the sixth ship in the EasyMax series and forms part of Wagenborg’s ongoing fleet renewal programme.
Earlier that week, Ariane successfully completed her sea trials. The vessel was subsequently prepared for her maiden voyage to Hamburg before entering operational service.
The EasyMax series has been developed with a focus on efficiency and environmental performance, combining a high cargo intake with reduced fuel consumption and lower emissions. With the addition of Ariane, the Dutch-flagged fleet was further strengthened by modern and energy-efficient tonnage for shortsea and worldwide cargo operations.
