Joint approach to ship finance by Dutch maritime trade associations

13 November 2023

During Europort 2023 Dutch maritime trade associations: the Royal Association of Netherlands Shipowners (KVNR), Netherlands Maritime Technology (NMT), Rotterdam Maritime Services Community (RMSC) and Rotterdam Ahoy organised a joint Ship Finance Pavilion. Facilitating informal dialogues between finance experts and maritime organisations.

The pavilion provided a valuable contribution to the Europort programme by connecting ship owners, shipbuilders and maritime suppliers with financial experts. It served as a dedicated information point where public and private financers, bankers and consultants were ready to advice and share valuable insights on ship finance, maritime funding and possible subsidies for sustainable innovation.

Showcasing the Dutch shipping industry

By doing so the organising parties were able to showcase the unique benefits of doing business with the Dutch shipping industry. Including future finance solutions, opportunities for business development and advantages of flying the Dutch flag.

Guests and speakers included experienced financial professionals from: NIBC, PROW Capital, eShipfinance.com, Zuyderzee, Nesec, KfW, Direct Ship Finance, Rabobank, RVO, Energietransitiefonds, Innovation Quarter, Invest International, European Investment Bank, ABN Amro, Santander, Atradius Dutch State Business and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO).
