On 3 September 2025, the general cargo vessel Baltic Sail (flying the Dutch flag) was launched sideways at the GS yard in Waterhuizen. The vessel, designed by Groot Ship Design, will operate within the Longship Group fleet.
Baltic Sail is part of a new generation of shortsea cargo vessels, designed with a focus on efficiency and operational versatility. The launch took place successfully and marks an important step toward the vessel’s entry into service.
Following outfitting and sea trials, Baltic Sail will commence operations in the European shortsea trade, contributing to modern and sustainable cargo transport under the Dutch flag.
