25 March 2025

On February 28, 2025, Longship proudly took delivery of Longearth (flying the Dutch flag), the third of four state-of-the-art, diesel-electric general cargo vessels.

The 8,500-dwt vessel was built by Turkey's Atlas Shipyard as is part of a four-vessel order placed in 2023. It features diesel-electric propulsion systems, capable of reducing bunker fuel consumption by 45% compared to vessels of similar sizes.

Longearth was officially launched and christened on June 27, 2024, and has since undergone extensive preparations to ensure she meets the highest standards of efficiency and environmental performance.
