MV Vertom Joy christened
On December 8 the MV Vertom Joy, flying the Dutch flag, was christened by Joyce Schram. Thecla Bodewes Shipyards delivered the vessel in April 2023. The ship, originally designed as a DP-2 pipe supply vessel, underwent a transformation, converting it into a versatile MPV (Multipurpose Vessel) and general cargo ship.

Thun Resource launched
On November 10 Thun Resource (flying the Dutch flag) was launched in Leer, Germany. The vessel was named by Godmother Ulrika Hamill, a representative of Nynas AB. Upon delivery, the Thun Resource will be technically managed by MF Shipping Group and enter into a five-year time charter to Nynas AB.

Joint approach to ship finance by Dutch maritime trade associations
During Europort 2023 Dutch maritime trade associations: the Royal Association of Netherlands Shipowners (KVNR), Netherlands Maritime Technology (NMT), Rotterdam Maritime Services Community (RMSC) and Rotterdam Ahoy organised a joint Ship Finance Pavilion. Facilitating informal dialogues between finance experts and maritime organisations.

Neptune's Canopée wins Ship of the Year Award 2023
On November 6 Canopée, an innovative open top RoRo vessel built by Neptune Marine, received the Ship of the Year Award 2023. The award was granted by the Royal Dutch Society of Marine Engineers (KNVTS) during the Maritime Awards Gala in Rotterdam Ahoy.

Dutch Maritime Shipping Database receives Maritime Achievement Award
On November 6 the Royal Association of Netherlands Shipowners (KVNR) awarded the Maritime Achievement Award to the Dutch Merchant Shipping Database. With the award the KVNR gives recognition to the database that provides valuable insights into important role the role of the Dutch merchant navy during the Second World War.

Wagenborg offshore has taken a subsea support Vessel into service as Kingsborg (flying the Dutch flag). Kingsborg is a custom-made and specialized offshore Vessel that wil support subsea activities and decommissioning works in the southern north sea in a long-term agreement with an energy major.

This new building is the successort of the award-winning Egbert Wagenbord and her sister Maxima. The EasyMax Vessel type is the lastest series in our fleet according to our energy efficiency targets.
