Princess Alexia of the Netherlands christens Van Oord's Vox Alexia
On September 9 her Royal Highness Princess Alexia of the Netherlands has performed the christening ceremony for Van Oord's new hopper dredger, the Vox Alexia (flying the Dutch flag). The christening ceremony took place at the Wilhelminakade quay in Rotterdam's city centre, where the vessel was docked for two days.

Vos Sugar utilised for annual inspection campaign Gemini OWF by Bluestream
Gemini requested Bluestream to conduct the annual subsea BoP inspections of various WTG foundations and offshore sub stations. The inspection program included both general visual inspections, Close Visual Inspections and CP measurements. Dutch flagged ROVSV Vos Sugar was utilised to execute the campaign.

A royal christening for Royal Van Oord
On 9 september 2023, the Vox Alexia and Calypso (both flying the Dutch flag) will be christened in the city centre of Rotterdam. Vox Alexia will be christened by Her Royal Highness Princess Alexia. The Calypso by Ms. Cerutti, the wife of Niek Hoek, chairman of the Supervisory Board.

On August 11 M.v. Bloemgracht (flying the Dutch flag) has been delivered from Fuzhou Mawei shipyard to Spliethoff Group. The series of two identical DP2 B-type vessels is now complete.

Vertom Group launches third 7,000 DWT vessel MV Vertom Tomma
Vertom Group, one of the leading short sea shipping operators in Europe, christened and successfully launched the MV Vertom Tomma on June 6. The vessel, flying the Dutch flag and built by Thecla Bodewes Shipyards, is the third dry cargo vessel in a series of ten vessels being built at the shipyard in Kampen.

Van Oord completes cable installation at CrossWind’s Hollandse Kust Noord offshore wind park
Van Oord’s top duo cable-laying vessel Nexus (flying the Dutch flag) and trencher Dig-It (a remotely-operated vehicle operated from vessel Subsea Viking) have installed a web of 69 inter-array cables measuring 140 km in total.

Repairs mv Helge concluded
On Wednesday 21 June, MF Shipping Group announced that mv Helge is ready to sail the seas again. The vessel needed repairs as it was involved with a collision off the coast of Denmark in September 2022.
