Sea Banckert and Sea Evertsen to sail under the Dutch Flag

August 19, 2025

On 13 August 2025, the anchor handling tug supply vessels Skandi Tender and Skandi Trader were acquired by Seacontractors from DOF Group ASA. Following their delivery September 2025 (expected) the vessels will be renamed Sea Banckert and Sea Evertsen and will sail under the Dutch flag.

Vertom Tula launched

July 29, 2025

The Vertom Tula was successfully christened and launched on July 24. The Vertom Tula (flying the Dutch flag) is the ninth vessel in the innovative LABRAX series. She was the first vessel in the series to be launched under the yard’s new name and Royal designation, recently granted in honor of its 100th anniversary.

Dutch flag in top five Paris MoU White List

The Paris MoU Committee published the most recent performance lists for flag States and Recognized Organizations on the first of July 2025. The Dutch flag holds the fourth position on the global prestigious 'White List'.

MV Boreas was officially christened in Rotterdam

June 24, 2025

On 18 June 2025, the Boreas (flying the Dutch flag), Van Oord’s new offshore wind installation vessel, was officially christened in Rotterdam. With a length of 175 metres and a main crane featuring a 155-metre-high boom capable of lifting over 3,000 tonnes.

Launch of Nb. 478 ‘FWN Adriatic’

On Friday, 23 May at 11:00 hrs, the vessel FWN Adriatic (flying the Dutch flag) was successfully launched at the Ferus Smit shipyard in Leer. This vessel is the fourth in a series of six advanced cargo ships to be delivered to Forestwave Navigation.

On 28 February 2025, the christening and launching of MV Visserbank (flying the Dutch flag) took place at Royal Bodewes. This 6,300 DWT Eco Trader was built for Pot Scheepvaart and carries yard number 775. The vessel represents the latest in a series of modern, energy-efficient cargo ships, tailored to meet the specific operational needs of its owner.

Rotra Horizon launched

Early April Rotra Horizon (flying the Dutch flag) was launched at Jiangsu Zhenjiang Shipyard jus a few days after the delivery of the Rotra Futura to Amasus.
