Maritime Monitor 2025: Maritime sector remains vital for the Netherlands
On December 10 the 2025 edition of the Maritime Monitor was presented to Minister Tieman (Infrastructure and Water Management). The maritime sector accounts for more than 310,000 jobs in the Netherlands and generates over €94 billion in revenue. This is revealed in the Maritime Monitor and the Port Monitor, published annually on behalf of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management.

MULTRATUG 30 Officially Christened in Bourgas, Bulgaria
MULTRATUG 30 (flying the Dutch flag) was officially christened in Bourgas on November 14th. The 80-tonne bollard pull tug will operate with Bourgas Tug Service, Multraship’s Bulgarian subsidiar. Enhancing Multraship To'wage & Salvage's harbour and offshore towage capacity in the Black Sea region. As well as their capabilities in salvage and emergency response.

Launch of MV Baltic Sail
On 3 September 2025, the general cargo vessel Baltic Sail (flying the Dutch flag) was launched sideways at the GS yard in Waterhuizen. The vessel, designed by Groot Ship Design, will operate within the Longship Group fleet.
